Encouraging people to recycle and actively participate in waste collection requires:
Education, Convenience and Awareness-building efforts.
We believe a Private + Public Partnership is the most effective strategy for waste management and street cleanliness.
THE KEY BUILDING BLOCKS
REDUCE VOLUME
Waste bins overflow during the summer tourist season.
1. Engaging with the local food & beverage sellers and donate waste compactors that crush plastic bottles and cans.
2. Reducing volume will keep the overflow in check.
COLLECT AT THE BEACH
Sand rakes, a cheap and effective way to clean our beaches.
1. Donating sand rakes to businesses at the beach
2. Organizing and promoting beach cleaning events to engage the local community.

Trash 2 Talk-time
We plan to donate and install a reverse vending machine to collect cans and plastic bottles at a strategic locations in Mondello.
The goal is to compensate users for collecting and recycling with credits for mobile phone use.
THIS WILL BE THE FIRST OF MANY!
